Being somewhat of a resident in North Carolina now…. as most people know, they passed the Amendment change here. Marriage is now only defined as one man & one woman, making it almost impossible to even TRY & get gay marriage legal here.

To make it clear, I am straight. I support gay marriage. Whether a person is born being attracted to the same sex or not, they are still a person. We bleed, we love, we bruise, we cry, we need a heart to live, we feel, we need air to breath, again, we love. It’s so disappointing that they’re treated as second-class citizens… We might as well still be dealing with blacks not being able to drink from the same fountain as a white person or not allowing women to vote. Might as well.

It almost makes me want to cry to think of my gay coworkers (At Michael’s, its over half the staff) who had to watch the pole results last night.. my heart drops for them to know that in their home state, they are not allowed to get married & to see the people who went to that extreme to make sure that didn’t happen ever….

So with that being said, I’m gonna be the most annoying gay marriage supporter. Tomorrow I will paint my car with rainbows & some writing stating my support for gay equality for all the “yes voters” here. To show there IS another side to the issue. They can’t break us down & I hope every one that passes me on the highway just gets pissed off. I want to show that someone out there does support your rights as a human. Love is love.
